Baldomero "Baldo" Garza

Hello, my name is Baldomero Jose Garza.   

I am from the small border town of Eagle Pass, Texas. I attended Our Lady of Refuge Catholic School until the eighth grade. I was an altar boy for nine years.   I attended Eagle Pass High School. After high school, I worked as an Auto mechanic at Tonys Auto Repair in Galveston, Texas. 

I then attended Texas State Technical Institute receiving an Associate in Applied Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology in 1982.   After moving to San Antonio, Texas, I worked at the Methodist Hospital and attended St Phillips College receiving an Associate in Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering Technology in 1987. I worked for the Brooke Army Medical Center and was then hired by the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston Texas. I am a 31 year federal employee retiree. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology from Texas Southern University in 1999.  

In 2000, I started my Law studies graduating in 2004 with a J.D. from South Texas College of Law. I began my law practice in 2005 and serve my clients in Immigration, Criminal and Family cases.   

I have served on several Board of Directors in many capacities including: Alief Youth Association, President, Alief YMCA, member and Sociedad Mutualista de Oberos Mexicans, legal counsel.   

In LULAC Baldo has served as the LULAC National VP for the Southwest for three years, two years as the National Civil Rights Committee chair, National Convention Resolutions Committee member, Past President LULAC Council 60, LULAC District VIII, Immigration Reform Committee chair, Greater Houston LULAC Council 4967 member and the Hispanic Employment Program at Veteran Affairs Medical Center member.   

I belong to several professional legal organizations: State Bar of Texas, Family Law and Immigration and Nationality Law, Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.   

I am married to Agnes and live in Manvel Texas.
